As a former NBA and ABA professional basketball coach, as well as a sports media professional, I've had the rare opportunity for enormous travel throughout our country. With this travel, I have come to love and follow live jazz artists as well as visit, review. and consume Fine Art, as a collector, around the U.S.A.. This passion of mine helped me discover the artwork of the Southwest Artist, Ted F. Remington. Ted’s work is not only a reflection of the great Southwest, but is eclectic in other subject matter as well. He is known also for his vibrant colors as an expression. Having collected a considerable amount of quality art, I can say that my life is enhanced by the ownership and placement of many of Remington’s paintings in my home.

As a successful business man, Art Gallery owner, and Professional Artist, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Ted Remington’s work through a collector and client of my gallery, by him introducing me to a piece of Ted’s art, “Doors of Perception”. I was struck by the sheer passion and technicality of the painting; I realized his art would command a wide audience with it’s very unique style and subject matter.

I contacted Ted and met with him in his studio, resulting in an invitation to join the gallery and to have me represent him along with several other great talents of Regional Artists. Coming from the digital illustration side of the art profession, I’ve been fascinated by the ‘fine artist’s process’ I’ve seen with Ted Remington. His exploration in color and its many transitions has produced some masterpieces.

He has a wonderful ability to capture landscapes and scenery in a beauty that goes beyond what the naked eye sees, producing some breathtaking renditions of the scenery of Utah and Southwest United States.

I work in computer art, but I envy his hands-on creations and his magnificent eye.
